THE FOUNDER
For twenty years, Michel Duret worked at the heart of the finishing trades, specializing in external thermal insulation systems and heading the specification department for the CROMOLOGY group. Working alongside architects, design offices, and social housing providers, he compiled technical files for major rehabilitation projects.
On these construction sites, the same question kept coming up: what to do with the nests of protected species found on the facades? Having been passionate about flora and fauna since childhood, he decided to answer this question by repurposing the building materials themselves. In 2020, DM Développement was founded in Marchiennes, in northern France: nest boxes designed as building components, compliant with construction industry requirements and the needs of the species.
