NIDKIT nesting boxes: from single nest to colony
The NIDKIT system combines an aluminum support with frost- and shock-resistant terracotta nests. Three formats meet the configuration of your facade: the NIDKIT1 (one nest), the NIDKIT2 (two nests), and the NIDKIT3 (three nests). The individual HiroNid nest, without support
The individual HiroNid nest attaches directly to the facade, without additional support, thanks to two holes accessible from the entrance window. Made of natural terracotta, it resists humidity and prevents mold proliferation. It is available in a standard range (three colors) and a Design range.

How to properly install your nesting box

Where and when to install a swallow nesting box
Prefer gables, roof soffits, and blind facades, sheltered from prevailing winds, and keep nests away from constantly open windows. Autumn, winter, and early spring are the best times for installation: birds thus spot the site before the breeding season. As swallows faithfully return to the same place each year, a well-thought-out installation bears fruit in the long term. Natural and durable materials
The HiroNid nests and the nests integrated into the NIDKIT systems are made of terracotta (stoneware 221), a natural material fired at high temperatures, without chemical elements, resistant to shocks and frost. Its resistance to humidity prevents the proliferation of mold responsible for many diseases. The aluminum supports, only 2 mm thick, do not degrade over time — no mold or rot — and remain particularly discreet in window frames. They can be offered in natural shades or lacquered in various RAL colors to harmonize with the facade.
Easy maintenance
Swallow nests generally do not require cleaning. In case of prolonged abandonment or parasitic infestation, NIDKIT systems have openings and removable fastenings that make maintenance easy. To maintain the cleanliness of the facade under the nests, consider associating a droppings board NIDCLEAN.
The ecological role of swallows
Each swallow catches several thousand insects per day, helping to naturally regulate mosquitoes and pests. Their presence is an excellent indicator of biodiversity.
